Starting thirteenth on the grid, Gabor Talmacsi attempted to get into race shape in a wet Assen warmup.

The wet weather settings tried out in the final 125cc qualifying session for the A-Style TT Assen were not in vain for the lower cylinder category riders, as the 11am race looks set to be a rainy one. The morning warmup session for the Saturday showdown was led by 2007 World Champion Gabor Talmacsi, half a second quicker than any other rider and showing that he might just be able to salvage something from a race which he starts from thirteenth on the grid.

Closest to the Bancaja Aspar rider´s time was Michael Ranseder, with Jack&Jones WRB´s Nico Terol the only other participant to go round in under 2´02. Mike di Meglio and Andrea Iannone –two riders who have race victories in the wet this year- were fourth and fifth, respectively.

Repsol KTM´s Marc Marquez and Donington racewinner Scott Redding were the only crashers in the session.
