Toseland holds hands up for Donington crashes

Unfortunately for British star James Toseland, he will only get one chance to shine on his home MotoGP debut, and the Tech3 Yamaha rider´s attempts to please the thousands of fans gathered in Donington Park will not be helped by a disappointing qualifying result.

Toseland had elected to return to the garage with five minutes remaining in the crucial Saturday afternoon run, but it was a decision that he later rued. `I couldn't be expected to go out there and not try my best. Unfortunately, I tried too hard and paid the price. This weekend was always going to be difficult and the bad weather has just added to that. I've got a tough job ahead of me tomorrow and a lot of hard work, so I'm hoping for some dry weather,´ said Toseland, who in a cruel twist of fate will start from his lowest grid position of the year (16th).

The Yorkshireman will be hoping to avoid similar crashes on Sunday in Donington, especially bearing in mind the one-off Saint George´s cross leathers that he will be sporting at the bwin.com British Grand Prix.
