V.I.Ps take in the action at Mugello
Some famous faces are in attendance at the Mugello circuit, in awe of the incredible Italian atmosphere.
The MotoGP riders are not the only famous faces present in the Mugello paddock this weekend, as stars of (cycle) stage, screen and disc flocked to the Italian track to soak up the unique Italian atmosphere.
Returning for his second MotoGP race of the year, Prodigy vocalist Keith Flint was on hand in the early hours of Sunday morning, a time unheard of for a musician but a labour of love for the dance music star. Flint also had an up-close experience with the legendary Mugello circuit.
`It´s a great atmosphere here, the Italians are so passionate in whatever they do,´ enthused the Briton. `I went round the track on a scooter and it´s been carved by someone holy I think,´ said an awe-struck Flint.
Keeping up the musical theme, punk rock guitarist David Kennedy was also in attendance at one of his favourite sporting events, joining in the plaudits for local hero Valentino Rossi.
`Someone like Rossi I can put up there with Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods…all those guys that are always at the top,´ said the Angels and Airwaves six-stringer, who also recounted the tribulations of watching MotoGP in the most unlikely of locations.
Other famous faces in the MotoGP paddock include ex-cyclist Mario Cippolini (photo), former Formula 1 racer Rene Arnoux and Olympic Gold medallists in the form of fencer Aldo Montano and gymnast Igor Cassina.
