Czech rider Sembera certifies presence in 125cc

Matteoni Racing strike deal with teenager for full Grand Prix debut.

16-year old Lukas Sembera will be a late entrant into the 2009 125cc World Championship, having signed with the Matteoni Racing Team last week. Sembera will become the latest Czech rider to participate in Grand Prix racing, joining countrymen Karel Abraham and Lukas Pesek.

The youngster has previously made wildcard appearances on 125cc machinery, but will make his full debut in 2009. Sembera will ride an Aprilia RSW after receiving a late offer from his new team, having previously intended to participate in both the Czech and Spanish national series.

A first test for the teenager –a previous participant in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup- will come at the end of the current month.
