Yamaha star invites fans on Lorenzo Land adventure

Jorge Lorenzo’s new comic book was launched on Wednesday in Barcelona, giving fans an insight into his international adventures in MotoGP.

The exploits of Jorge Lorenzo can sometimes make him seem larger than life and the Spanish MotoGP star truly entered the world of fiction on Wednesday (1st April) as he presented his new book, ‘Lorenzo’s Land’, a cartoon publication with a storyline following his first season in MotoGP.

The book, published by Panini Comics and created by Estudio Fénix, was put together with close assistance from the rider himself, along with his press manager Héctor Martín.

At the launch event, alongside José Luís Córdoba, the Director of Publishing for Panini, Lorenzo explained the healthy mixture of fantasy and realism which had gone into the production of the book, which features fellow sports stars such as tennis player Rafa Nadal and footballer Samuel Eto´o – who join the 2008 MotoGP Rookie of the Year in his cartoon escapades.

Meanwhile, also focusing on the reality of this season’s MotoGP World Championship, which commences on 12th April in Qatar, Lorenzo reiterated his aim of equaling or bettering his results from 2008.
