BMW M present Ezpeleta with 2009 BMW 750i

The CEO of Dorna Sports, Carmelo Ezpeleta, has been presented with a new BMW 750i for the 2009 MotoGP season.

As the Official Car of MotoGP, BMW M have strong ties with the World Championship and last weekend in Jerez at the Official MotoGP Test they presented Carmelo Ezpeleta, Dorna Sports’ CEO, with his new special edition 750i for 2009.

Mr Ezpeleta’s new vehicle has been produced in a ‘mineral white’ colouring, the same as the BMW M Safety Car fleet, and the interior of the car has been personalised with MotoGP logos on each headrest.

Each year BMW M also provide a car for the winner of the BMW M Award preseason shootout and for the overall BMW M Best Qualifier Award. Last Sunday Casey Stoner drove away with the BMW M Award prize of 135i ‘BMW Sauber F1 Team Edition’ and he is likely to be in the running for a BMW M3 Sedan in the season-long Best Qualifier contest.

The 2009 BMW M Safety Cars, meanwhile, will be led by an all-new BMW X6 M, with M6, M5 Touring, M3 Sedan, X5 4.8i and 330i Touring cars all part of the fleet, which will be fully launched at the Gran Premio bwin.com de España on the 1st-3rd May weekend.
