Spanish 250cc star Héctor Faubel was delighted to announce an agreement between his favourite football club and his World Championship team, Honda SAG, on Thursday.

As a proud Valencian Faubel will attempt to put his newly renamed Valencia CF - Honda SAG Team in the headlines this year, following the agreement between the two parties, as he undertakes his eighth season in Grand Prix racing and his second in the 250cc class since moving back up from 125cc riding at the end of 2007.

Valencia Football Club’s Communications Director Damià Vidagany, Marketing Director Juan Pablo Molinero and External Relations Director Jordi Bruixola, were in attendance with Honda SAG team owner and manager Eduardo Perales, alongside Faubel as the news was made public on Thursday in the Spanish city, which hosts the final race of the 2009 season.

The 25 year-old rider commented, “This is a really special moment for me. I am really proud and really grateful to have been the opportunity to represent my own club Valencia CF in the World Championship. It’s a superb feeling to being racing in the name of the team I have supported all my life.”
