Haojue miss Motegi race due to technical issues

Team Haojue had to miss the Sunday action at the Polini Grand Prix of Japan due to an unspecified technical fault on their 125cc bikes.

Newcomers to the World Championship this season, Team Haojue have announced that they are not able to participate in the Sunday action at the Polini Grand Prix of Japan.

The new team, for whom English MotoGP rookie Matthew Hoyle and Austrian rider Michael Ranseder compete this year, ran into problems at Motegi on Saturday morning.

Team Haojue director Garry Taylor explained the withdrawal, stating, “We hit a technical problem on both machines in Saturday’s morning free practice session and we knew we would be unable to safely correct this problem in time for qualifying.”

“Of course, the whole team is bitterly disappointed. We are still at an early stage of the development programme and with two fly-away races as the start of the season, we simply don’t have enough resources here to make the necessary countermeasures. We will be back in action in Jerez next week.”
