Simón looking hot in warm-up

Simón looking hot in warm-up

Sunday’s action at the Gran Premio de España commenced in the sunshine with Julián Simón as the fastest rider in the 125cc warm-up.

Poleman Julián Simón sent out a message to his 125cc rivals in the single cylinder class warm-up at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit with a rapid 1’47.903 time.

That time was more than three tenths better than his pole lap, keeping him just ahead of Bancaja Aspar team-mate Bradley Smith on the timesheet and giving an indication of the good conditions, with less wind than on Saturday.

Also on the pace was another front row starter and series leader Andrea Iannone (Ongetta Team I.S.P.A), three tenths down on Simón, whilst Nico Terol (Jack & Jones Team) and Sandro Cortese (Ajo Interwetten) were around a second down in fourth and fifth places respectively.
