Folger to remain with Ongetta Team ISPA in 2010

German youngster Jonas Folger will ride an official Aprilia RSA bike in the 125cc class next year with the Ongetta Team ISPA.

The World Wide Group and Jonas Folger have signed an agreement to extend their contract for next year, keeping the young German product of the MotoGP Academy in the 125 cc class with the Ongetta Team ISPA. Folger will have an Aprilia RSA machine at his disposal in 2010.

Ongetta Team ISPA owner Fiorenzo Caponera stated, “We give Jonas our full backing because he should have a great future with us and within the sport in general. He’s a great talent, and has progressed so much in just nine races with us. Half a season was enough for us to understand that we wanted to continue with him.”

Folger commented, “I had several talks with different teams, but none could give me the same personal and technical support. This is a garage where the communication is easy and it is a sort of family team. The crew, who are working on the RSA this season will have even more knowledge of the bike next year. I'm also planning to attend the Empowerment Project next winter. I want to be really fit and focused at the beginning of the 2010 World Championship.”

The team of experts who will manage Folger’s winter training are the same group who have coached the likes of Marco Simoncelli and Andrea Iannone in the past.
