250cc warm-up concludes with Barberá on top

Héctor Barberá (Pepe World Team) went round fastest in the 250cc Indy outing on Sunday morning.
In the quarter litre class warm up at the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix Héctor Barberá set the pace with a 1’44.857 best effort, to keep him ahead of World Champion Marco Simoncelli by just 0.035s.
Surprise Indianapolis protagonist so far Jules Cluzel (Matteoni Racing) confirmed his good shape in third place, ahead of the likes of Roberto Locatelli (Metis Gilera), Mattia Pasini (Team Toth) and Alex Debon (Aeropuerto-Castello-Blusens).
Álvaro Bautista placed discretely down in seventh, whilst his Mapfre Aspar team-mate and pole man Mike di Meglio was eighth and standings leader Hiroshi Aoyama (Scot Racing) looked off colour in 16th.
