Barberá fastest in 250cc warm up

Héctor Barberá went round the quickest in the 250cc warm up in Malaysia on Sunday morning.

Héctor Barberá led the field in warm up for the 250cc class in Sepang, setting a 2’07.383 lap time ahead of pole position holder Hiroshi Aoyama.

The Scot Honda rider, who lapped at 0.091s slower than the Pepe World Team man, was ahead of reigning World Champion and rival for the 2009 title Marco Simoncelli, who is eighth on the starting grid.

Mike di Meglio and Alex Debon both came inside the top five times, with Álvaro Bautista (Mapfre Aspar Team) and Héctor Faubel (Valencia CF - Honda SAG) next quickest.

Under light cloud and with a track temperature of 36°C, Karel Abraham (Cardion AB Motoracing), Thomas Luthi (Emmi - Caffe Latte) and Jules Cluzel (Matteoni Racing) completed the top ten times.
