Abraham enjoys Vienna event ahead of home race
Moto2™ is powered byKarel Abraham made the trip across the border to Vienna for the MotoGP city centre event on Wednesday ahead of his biggest weekend of the year.
For Czech 250cc rider Karel Abraham this weekend’s World Championship visit to Brno is the biggest occasion on the calendar and he will be looking for a good result in front of the home fans after a frustrating time so far this year.
The Cardion AB Motoracing rider was in Vienna on Wednesday as MotoGP visited the Austrian capital for an exciting ride through the streets and he was impressed by the experience, enjoying the chance to relax before returning to home soil and the serious business of the Cardion AB Czech Republic Grand Prix.
Abraham – along with fellow Czech riders Lukas Pesek, who rides for Auto Kelly – CP in the 250cc class, and Lukas Sembera of Matteoni Racing, who competes in the 125cc championship – will enjoy massive support at Brno, as he attempts to improve on a season’s best result of seventh at Catalunya.
On the atmosphere he has already experienced in Vienna this week the 19 year-old stated, “Riding in the city was really awesome, I never expected there to be so many people here! Going through the streets on my racing bike was something I never thought I would do so I really enjoyed it. This was a really nice thing to do for the fans.”
