MotoGP representatives visit Geo Technology
Moto2™ is powered bySwiss-based engine specialist will be in charge of looking after the new generation 600cc Moto2 engines.
On December 10th, MotoGP representatives Vito Ippolito (FIM President) and Carmelo Ezpeleta (Dorna Sports CEO) visited the Geo Technology installations in Roche, Switzerland, near Lausanne.
Led by Osamu Goto, a respected engineer and designer for Honda and Ferrari in F1, Geo Technology will ensure the preparation and maintenance of the Honda-designed Moto2 engine which will debut in the new 4-stroke 600cc class in 2010.
Mr Ippolito and Mr Ezpeleta had the opportunity to check out the first Moto2 engine and were pleased with the progress made by Geo Technology, as the company recently received the very first unit of the 600cc engine which will be made available to the Moto2 teams ahead of the 2010 season.
Dorna Sports SL CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta said: “The FIM representatives together with the President and ourselves visited Geo Technology and saw everything, and we are very happy with the work they are doing.”
