JiR Moto2 to use TSR chassis for Mattia Pasini

The JiR Moto2 team, headed by Luca Montiron, has reached a deal with TSR (Technical Sports Racing) for the supply of prototype chassis by the Japanese manufacturer for their participation in next year’s debut season of the new Moto2 category.

A JiR delegation, including Montiron and Jan Witteveen who joins the team as Technical Director, visited TSR to finalise the agreement and organise the immediate release of two TSR6 prototypes.

JiR participated in MotoGP between 2005 and 2008 with Makoto Tamada and Shinya Nakano and will return to the World Championship stage in the Moto2 class, with Italian rider Mattia Pasini, who will test in January.

The TSR6 prototype debuted at the Suzuka track in the final race of the Japanese national 250cc Championship, and tested after at Motegi where it produced positive results.

TSR intends to participate with a local rider as a guest entry at the Japanese Grand Prix.
