MotoGP stars visit Universal Studios Hollywood theme park

Ducati’s 2007 World Champion Casey Stoner was joined by LCR Honda’s Randy de Puniet and San Carlo Honda Gresini’s Toni Elías on a special visit to the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park in Los Angeles on Tuesday, marking MotoGP’s arrival in California.

Taking a chance to relax before they head up the coast along Route 101 to Laguna Seca, for the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix, the three premier class competitors were given a tour of the Universal Studios Hollywood attractions, including film and TV sets.

Having visited Wisteria Lane where ‘Desperate Housewives’ is set, and the small town of Cabot Cove of ‘Murder, She Wrote’ fame, the riders saw animations reproducing the sets of classic Hollywood blockbusters such as ‘Jaws’, ‘Fast & Furious’, and ‘The Mummy’.

The trio of riders then also witnessed an earthquake simulation in a metro station, before Elías and De Puniet rode through Springfield on the Fox-sponsored ‘The Simpsons’ ride and got a chance to sample the ‘Jurassic Park’ rollercoaster.
