Polini to sponsor 2009 Grand Prix of Japan
Polini Motori will once again demonstrate their sporting commitment to the FIM MotoGP World Championship as title sponsors of the Polini Grand Prix of Japan, which takes place at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit on the 24th-26th April weekend.
Sponsorship of the second Grand Prix of the 2009 season will provide Polini Motori with the opportunity to promote their high quality “Made in Italy” products in the Far East in the important Asian market. The company were also title sponsors of last year’s Malaysian Grand Prix in October and they have a strong association with MotoGP.
Polini Motori have won five titles in the MotoGP World Championship, three in the 125cc class (two with Loris Capirossi and one with Valentino Rossi), one in the former 500cc class with Valentino Rossi and one in the current MotoGP class also with Rossi.
The golden book of Polini victories includes more than one hundred national minibike and minicross titles across the world. In 2008 Polini Motori was involved in MotoGP as the aforementioned title sponsor of the Malaysian GP and also as a partner of Hervé Poncharal’s Yamaha Tech 3 Team.
Polini Motori is a world leader in the production of special parts for scooters, minibikes, minicross bikes and 125cc and 50cc pit bikes, homologated for street use only.
