Sito Pons predicts Lorenzo victory

A man who knows his fair share about MotoGP as both a rider and team manager, Sito Pons had some of his best moments at the Circuito de Jerez. The Spaniard is back in the paddock as the head of the Pepe World and Jack&Jones teams in the lower cylinder categories, but has kept a keen eye on the premier class this weekend.

“Jorge Lorenzo has a big chance to win, and it will definitely be a show. Dani Pedrosa is also going very well, and Rossi and Stoner will certainly not sit back and let them win. We have a Spaniard on top in 250cc, and one on top in MotoGP, so we hope that the Spanish success at Jerez can continue on Sunday,” reviewed Pons, whose rider Héctor Barbera took second on the grid for the 250cc race.

When pushed for a prediction, Pons stuck by his previous comments, stating that “If I had to choose, I’d go with Lorenzo, Rossi and finally Pedrosa.”
