Pramac have high hopes for 2010
After a constructive post-season test in Valencia for Mika Kallio and Aleix Espargaró, the Pramac Racing team are looking forward to next season.
Pramac Racing have an exciting line-up prepared for the 2010 season, with Aleix Espargaró taking a permanent place in their team set-up alongside 2009 Rookie of the Year Mika Kallio.
The three-day test at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit this week served very different purposes for both riders, as Kallio evaluated various set-ups used on his Ducati throughout his debut campaign in the premier class to form the basis of his preparations for next season.
“Throughout these three days we were able try a different mix of technical solutions used during this year, and we have reached a very high level of competitiveness,” explained the Finn. “I have learnt a lot this season and this is also thanks to the support that my crew have given me. Next year we will come back determined to improve our performances in the races.”
Having impressed in four premier class appearances for Pramac this year Espargaró amassed further valuable experience aboard the Ducati, and the 20 year-old is feeling more and more assured ahead of his first full season as a MotoGP rider next year.
“My confidence with the bike has increased a lot thanks to these hours of work in Valencia,” said Espargaró. “We changed the set up of the swing arm and this has given me much more grip. Consequently I felt more comfortable on the bike. I am sure that next year we will have a lot of fun, and we will have many opportunities to improve.”
