TSR continue Moto2 development in Japan

The Japanese factory TSR (Technical Sport Racing) made a successful debut with their new Moto2 prototype at Suzuka last weekend, as they participated in the last round of the 2009 All Japan national championship season.

In the first 250cc race of the weekend the factory’s rider Yusuke Teshima demonstrated the strengths of the Moto2 TSR6, coming home in third place after starting second on the grid. TSR then took the decision not to run the machine in the second race due to the wet conditions being experienced, as they felt gathering wet weather data was not important enough in this initial stage of the bike’s development.

TSR have 20 years of experience in World Championship competition, with their provision of chassis in the 125cc and 250cc categories. They intend to continue developing their Moto2 prototype in 2010 and may make a guest appearance in next year’s Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi.
