Gadea hits back in 125cc Friday practice

Form rider Sergio Gadea headed the 125cc class on Friday morning in the second free practice session for the Alice TT Assen. His final hot lap of the morning session, a 1’45.994, put him at the top of the order in the last fine-tuning opportunity before afternoon qualifying.

Just over a tenth of a second down, Gadea’s Bancaja Aspar teammate Bradley Smith was second quickest.

Unable to participate in a large part of the Thursday run after a crash, Pol Espargaró got back into the swing of things with the third fastest time of the 40-minute outing, ahead of title challenger Andrea Iannone and Julián Simón in the top five.

Notable by his improvement was Fontana Racing newcomer Simone Corsi, eighth on the timesheet and showing a leap in performance since switching to his new team.
