Dorna to receive award

MotoGP rights holders Dorna Sports will receive a Pingüinos de Oro (Golden Penguin) award in January, in recognition of its work in promoting motorcycle racing.

The Pingüinos de Oro 2010 awards will take place from January 7-10, and Dorna Sports will receive an award at the 29th edition of the ceremony.

MotoGP rights holders Dorna’s work in motorcycle racing through both the World Championship and CEV Buckler (Spanish National Championship) will be recognised at this year’s ceremony in Puente Duero, Valladolid.

2009 125cc World Champion Julián Simón and journalist Dennis Noyes will also be honoured at the awards.

Previous winners include Jorge Martínez Aspar, Jorge Lorenzo, Álvaro Bautista, Ángel Nieto, Dani Pedrosa, Sete Gibernau, Fonsi Nieto, Valentino Rossi, Toni Elías and King Juan Carlos of Spain.
