Olympic Champion Evora predicts Rossi win
One champion was backing another on Saturday in Portugal as 2008 Triple Jump Olympic gold winner Nelson Evora predicted another Estoril win for Valentino Rossi.
As a guest of MotoGP’s Official Timekeepers Tissot this weekend, at the bwin.com Grande Premio de Portugal, the 2008 Triple Jump Olympic Champion Nelson Evora has been keeping a close eye on the laptimes at Estoril and is predicting that World Champion Valentino Rossi will come good for Sunday’s race.
You might want to compare your thoughts with those of the Portuguese athlete before making your round 14 predictions in the Fantasy MotoGP 2009 game, after Evora looked beyond poleman Jorge Lorenzo when guessing who the podium finishers will be.
“If I had to pick the top three riders for the race, I'd say Rossi winner - he's always very strong and Dani Pedrosa second, as I rate him quite highly and think he can have a good race,” Evora told motogp.com.
“For third place, I’d go with Nicky Hayden as he’s a friend and I’d love to see him do well, but I know it will be tough for him. This was the first time I could experience MotoGP first hand and I’m really thrilled; how loud the bikes are is incredible - to some people it’s like music!”
