Chris Martin predicts Pedrosa triumph

It is time to submit your Fantasy MotoGP predictions for Indianapolis ahead of Sunday’s racing at The Brickyard - and if you want some expert advice you might want to take on board the thoughts of speedtv.com’s motorcycling editor Chris Martin.

The American journalist believes pole man Dani Pedrosa will be the one to beat at round twelve, having witnessed a superb qualifying performance from the Spanish rider.

Martin stated, “Dani has looked incredibly strong so far this weekend, both in the wet on Friday and the dry on Saturday. He had a 0.7s advantage on Saturday morning and 0.5s gap in qualifying, so it is kind of hard to bet against him!”

Nonetheless, Martin acknowledges that there is likely to be a strong threat from the front row by Pedrosa’s Fiat Yamaha rivals, adding, “Valentino Rossi always steps things up on a Sunday, so even if he was a bit behind Pedrosa today you still expect him to be there. Jorge Lorenzo is also a fighter so perhaps we will even have a three-way battle for the lead.”
