Aoyama sets early 250cc pace

Hiroshi Aoyama demonstrated in the early Sunday 250cc outing that he will be ready to fight at the front from sixth on grid at Jerez.
Japanese rider Hiroshi Aoyama was the fastest participant in the quarter litre class outing early on Sunday morning at the Gran Premio bwin.com de España. The Scot Racing man went round in 1’43.031.
Despite his two crashes on Saturday Marco Simoncelli was also in good form in second place in the session, just 0.174s behind Aoyama.
Poleman Álex Debón (Aeroport Castello-Blusens) was third fastest, a second off Aoyama’s pace, just ahead of Balatonring Team’s Gabor Talmacsi and Mapfre Aspar’s Álvaro Bautista.
