Hayden never lost belief

In a special feature in the June edition of Cycle World, Ducati Marlboro rider Nicky Hayden discusses his first year with the factory team and his hopes for the 2010 MotoGP World Championship.

The American rider, as proven by his display in the opening race of the 2010 season in Qatar, explains how comfortable he now feels on the Desmosedici GP10 machine, and also talks about how he managed to maintain his focus and self belief during a tough 2009 in which he had a change of team set-up.

“Having ridden the new GP10 I can honestly say that I’m really starting to enjoy this bike,” says Hayden in Cycle World, which is available from April 20th. “I have never doubted my skills. If you doubt yourself and stop believing, then you’re never going to get out of that hole.”
