Márquez warms up fastest

The 125cc pole position holder was the quickest rider in the Sunday morning warm-up session, ahead of the Gran Premio bwin de España.

On a sunny Sunday morning it was Marc Márquez (Red Bull Ajo Motorsport) who set the quickest time in the 125cc warm-up session with a lap of 1’47.453.

With a temperature of 20ºC (track 25ºC) the youngster, who will start the Gran Premio bwin de España from pole position, was 0.930s ahead of Pol Espargaró (Tuenti Racing), who also matched his grid position with second. The duo finished ahead of Championship standings leader Nico Terol (Bancaja Aspar) and his team-mate Bradley Smith.

Efrén Vázquez (Tuenti Racing) and Esteve Rabat (Blusens-STX), who both start from the front row, and Sandro Cortese (Avant Mitsubishi Ajo) and Randy Krummenacher (Stipa-Molenaar Racing) completed the top eight times.

The 125cc race commences at 11am local time.
