Sterlacchini: Espargaró knows the pressure is on

The Technical Director of the Pramac Racing team discusses the Spanish rider’s start to the season, in this motogp.com video.

After just two rounds the 2010 MotoGP World Championship has not failed to deliver on its promise of intense action, and accompanying the highs of the many thrills there have been some tough moments for riders as well.

The start of the campaign has been an eventful one for Aleix Espargaró, with the Pramac Racing rider scoring a single point after experiencing crashes in both races so far. At Losail the 20 year-old was forced to retire from the race after completing seven laps, and at Jerez he managed to cross the line in 15th after an early fall damaged his brake lever and affected his ability to challenge for a higher position.

The Pramac garage is positive that the results will come, and Technical Director of the MotoGP team Fabiano Sterlacchini spoke to motogp.com about how things have gone so far for Espargaró in the 2010 campaign.

“He is feeling the pressure now to get the results, but Aleix is a good guy and we are always talking to understand if we can do something to improve this situation, and also to relax. We have 18 races so the end of the season is a long way off,” he said.

You can see the full interview with Sterlacchini which includes Espargaró’s take on matters in the attached motogp.com video.
