Riders and teams have started to confirm some amazing prizes for the auction that will take place at the AirAsia British Grand Prix.
There are just three weeks until the AirAsia British Grand Prix at Silverstone and the action on the track will be matched by the excitement off it. Thousands of fans will be flocking to the famous circuit on Thursday 17th June for the traditional Day of Champions fundraising event for Riders for Health – the official charity of MotoGP.
Day of Champions is a fantastic day for any race fan. There will be stunt shows, live music, rides with sidecar racing teams, interviews, prizes, displays from the trials teams and much more. And with tickets from only £15 for adults and free for under-16s it is a great day out. To make sure you don’t miss out on one of the best days in British motorsport, order your tickets at the online shop by visiting www.riders.org or by calling +44 (0) 8702 242 960. Please note that only Entertainment Zone tickets are now available.
Teams and riders have started putting aside the items they will donate to the famous MotoGP auction on the main stage to raise money for Riders for Health.
The stars of the championship will take to the stage to be interviewed live by Eurosport’s Toby Moody and Jules Ryder. And there will also be the incredible sight of riders raising tens-of-thousands of pounds as they auction leathers, helmets, paintings and much more.
The Rizla Suzuki MotoGP team have put together the ultimate VIP experience for any MotoGP fan. It includes the chance to see inside a MotoGP garage, and be involved with a factory team at the 2010 British MotoGP. The winning bidder will meet the riders as well as watching a practice session from the team’s garage and pit-wall – you simply cannot get any closer to the action!
The organisers of MotoGP are giving two pairs of fans the incredible chance to be on the grid before the MotoGP race as well as giving other lucky bidders the ride of a lifetime in the BMW safety car.
As well as hosting the auction, Toby and Jules will be opening their commentary box to one of the practice sessions and official race photographer, Andrew Northcott, will be taking someone trackside to see a MotoGP race from behind the lens.
It is not just MotoGP stars that are helping raise money for Riders for Health. Danny John-Jules, ‘the Cat' to Red Dwarf fans, will be bringing an anniversary box set of the cult BBC series, signed by the entire cast.
It is sure to be a great day, and the only way to have a chance to buy any of these incredible items or experiences is to be at Day of Champions. So book your tickets today at www.riders.org or by calling +44 (0) 8702 242 960.
