Lüthi and Interwetten Moriwaki support EurAsia Heart Foundation

The Swiss Moto2 rider and his team are sporting a new look at Mugello as their sponsors also collaborate in a special weekend-long promotion of the charity.

The Gran Premio d’Italia TIM weekend is a special event for Tom Lüthi as the Interwetten Moriwaki Moto2 team’s main sponsor Interwetten, in collaboration with co-sponsor saw and the Swiss man’s long-term partner Emmi all work together to present a new look in a special charity promotion.

The three sponsors have all given up their advertising space on Lüthi’s Moriwaki MD600 bike, his leathers, the crew and grid girl’s clothing in order for the EurAsia Heart Foundation to be able to experience a prominence and bring the public’s attention to their work.

The Foundation, founded in 2006 by Swiss heart surgeon Professor Dr Paul Vogt, has numerous European doctors working for its cause, all of whom specialise in child cardiovascular disease. Each doctor travels for between three and six weeks per year on a voluntary basis in European and Asian countries, carrying out lifesaving heart operations for the financially disadvantaged. The Foundation also educates and trains different categories of medical staff.

“It’s a great idea from my sponsors and I’m happy that we are all supporting the EurAsia Heart Foundation together,” said Lüthi. “I like the new-look of my racing livery very much and I’m sure it will be a success; it’s also an additional motivation. When I’m on the track, I’m not only aiming for points but also for a good cause.”

Professor Dr Vogt added: “I’m very proud and grateful for the initiative of the sponsors. They are offering EurAsia Heart Foundation the chance to introduce themselves to the wider public.”

Interwetten Sponsoring Manager Michael Summer explained his company were also only too happy to help. “We were so impressed with the concept of the EurAsia Heart Foundation,” he said. “We would like to offer Professor Dr Paul Vogt a platform in Mugello, to promote and increase the awareness of the foundation.”
