In the attached free video you can see the overwhelming messages of support the World Champion received from everybody at the Italian circuit on Sunday, as he spoke over the phone to the 80,000 present at the track from hospital.

Friends, rivals, fans… all were united in their offerings of well wishes to Valentino Rossi as he recovered in hospital prior to the Gran Premio d’Italia TIM on Sunday morning.

“Valentino: a heritage of humanity”, “Vale return soon… we miss you” and “Without Vale there is no World Championship” were just some of the messages displayed on the numerous banners draped around the Mugello circuit on Sunday, all in tribute to Rossi after the crash the previous day that had caused his injury.

80,000 spectators showed their support for the 31 year-old, some with applause, others with tears and many with smiles as he spoke to the crowd via telephone over the Mugello circuit PA system from his hospital bed in Florence, personally thanking them for their resounding messages of support.

Rossi’s fellow premier class riders also had some words for the World Champion. His good friend Marco Simoncelli bore the slogan “Bomber… return soon!” while Rossi’s rival Jorge Lorenzo’s said “Everyone can feel pain but not everybody can be a legend!”.
