Oliveira, Coghlan, Forés and Molero the winners in Motorland Aragón debut

More than 7,000 people braved the heat to watch the CEV Buckler at the spectacular Motorland Aragón circuit in Alcañiz (Teruel) on Sunday.

In the 125GP class spectators saw a close side-by-side battle for victory between Maverick Viñales and Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira, one which ended in favour of the latter by a margin of just four-thousandths of a second. Viñales took off hard from the start but could not open up more than a two-second gap over Oliveira, Alex Rins and Isaac Viñales. The Portuguese began to set some fast laps which coincided with an error of Viñales, and the pair then interchanged positions until they crossed the line. Oliveira extended his advantage at the top of the standings to 13 points over Viñales and 19 on Rins, who placed third.

In Moto2 victory was taken by Scottish rider Kev Coghlan, who maintained the lead from the start to the finish of the race. Behind, Torres, Moreno and Morales played out a fantastic scrap, and midway through the race Morales became involved in a new group with Ramos and Silva, with whom he fought to the last lap for fourth position which eventually went to Román Ramos. In the contest for the podium places Moreno managed to get an edge on Torres as he set some fast laps to get into second behind Coghlan, who reacted by maintaining the distance and securing a brilliant win. Rivas came in seventh, but maintained his leadership of the standings and is now just five points ahead of Coghlan.

Javier Forés won from pole position for the fourth time this season in the Stock Extreme category, also setting the fastest lap of the race. The dominating Forés was strong from the start and he opened up an early advantage from the beginning, stretching his lead over Javier del Amor and crossing the line for victory. Third place was taken by Enrique Rocamora, for his second podium of the campaign. The 100 points so far amassed by Forés mean he is now 40 ahead of Del Amor. The top private rider in the race was Jaume Ferrer, while Barragán maintains his position as the highest placed private rider in the general standings even though his engine broke when he was battling for third.

In the third round of the Kawasaki Ninja Cup victory belonged to Ángel Morelo, who was followed by Erik Robles and Adrián Menchén, the last of whom maintains his leadership of the standings by just a single point ahead of Molero and five ahead of Mariñelarena, who started the race from pole and finished fourth.

The fifth round of the 2010 CEV Buckler takes place on September 12th at the Albacete circuit.
