Pramac conclude 2010 with positive Test

Pramac conclude 2010 with positive Test

Randy de Puniet and Loris Capirossi completed their first days of work with the team at Valencia.

New Ducati Pramac riders, Randy de Puniet and Loris Capirossi, took the opportunity to ride their first few kilometres on their new bikes at the Official MotoGP Test at Valencia this week, both ending the two-day run with positive feelings.

Fabiano Sterlacchini - Technical Director:

"These two days have been very useful for us as this winter we can work on some solutions to be used in the tests in the new year. Loris is confident, he sees many areas for improvement and in the first test at Sepang in 2011 we will work with confidence on performance over a single lap. We are pleased with our new riders and we are sure that next year, the tenth in MotoGP for Pramac, we can gain a lot of satisfaction."

Randy De Puniet:

"I have really enjoyed my new bike. The Ducati seems very suited to my riding style and I am confident that the evolution in 2011 will be even better. The delivery of the power from the engine is very smooth and I have good handling entering turns, which allowed me to push with confidence from the opening laps. I still have to improve my riding position when cornering because I am not yet in perfect harmony with the seat. The lap times are good and the general impression of these first two days is positive. It’s a shame I had a slip in the last run: probably the rear tyre was still too cold and while trying to improve my best lap time I lost control of the rear and slipped in the first right-hand turn. I am happy anyway because I found myself at ease straight away with the team, establishing a good feeling and this can only help us in our adventure together."
