Mahindra line up Webb and Schrötter for 125cc team

The Indian manufacturer, which will field bikes made by Engines Engineering in the 2011 World Championship, will enter the World Championship with the two talented riders next season.

Mahindra & Mahindra and Engines Engineering’s five-year agreement to work together in the World Championship, with the intention of the project being the development of 4-stroke engines for entry into the Moto3 category, will get underway in 2011 with two talented riders on the grid.

To fully demonstrate the full potential of the bikes prepared by Giancarlo Cecchini two youngsters with World Championship experience will be entered in 2011. Brit Danny Webb, who has four seasons in the 125cc category behind him, and German prospect Marcel Schrötter, who this year completed his first full campaign in the class, are the selected pair.

Webb’s agreement is awaiting signature, whilst Schrötter’s contract has been finalised.
