MCN: Crutchlow undergoing shoulder surgery

The incoming MotoGP rookie is facing a race against time to be fit for the Sepang Test on February 1st according to MCN, who report that the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider required similar shoulder surgery to that undergone by Valentino Rossi last month.

The 25 year-old Brit is undergoing an operation today (Wednesday) in Manchester, and said of the Test which takes place in 62 days: “I’m confident I’ll be fit for Sepang. It is a three-month recovery normally but I’ve got unlimited access to a hyperbaric chamber on the Isle of Man and I’ll be using that as much as possible to speed up the recovery process.”
