Colin Edwards: 2010 season review

Colin Edwards: 2010 season review

motogp.com looks back over the campaign of each premier class rider with a video which compiles the most pivotal moments of their year.

Providing the experience to 2010 Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team-mate Ben Spies’ rookie status, Colin Edwards’ campaign was one in which the Texan produced consistent results whilst playing an important role in the Yamaha set-up and in the attached motogp.com video you can review his campaign.

At times frustrated as he attempted to get close to the podium, Edwards regularly finished inside the top ten but was thwarted in his attempts to break the top three in any race with a best result of fifth at Motegi.

Undoubtedly showing an improved feeling towards the latter half of the season, as displayed by regular top-seven placements, Edwards and the Tech 3 set-up announced he would stay with the team for another season thus continuing to have an essential input both in terms of results and experience.

In 2011 he will aim for higher than the 11th place in the Championship he eventually finished in, and will also provide another rookie – Cal Crutchlow – with an experienced hand in settling into the fold.
