Randy de Puniet: 2010 season review

Randy de Puniet: 2010 season review looks back over the campaign of each premier class rider with a video which compiles the most pivotal moments of their year.

Randy de Puniet was the recipient of a highly unfortunate piece of bad luck in the 2010 campaign, when a broken leg in Germany interrupted what had been a superb start to the year for the LCR Honda rider.

Regular top-six finishes, front-row starts at Silverstone and Assen and a fourth-placed result at Catalunya were some of the highlights of the first half of the year, and De Puniet was fifth in the standings – level on points with fourth – going into the round at Sachsenring where a crash resulted in the injury that interfered with his fine form.

Making a quick return to action De Puniet worked hard to regain the momentum he had found earlier in the season, and ended the year inside the top ten in the final five races as he placed ninth in the standings having ridden through the pain barrier admirably.

You can review the Frenchman’s fifth MotoGP campaign in the attached video, his third and final season with the LCR set-up before taking on a new challenge in 2011 with Pramac Racing.
