Nicky Hayden: 2010 season review

Nicky Hayden: 2010 season review

motogp.com looks back over the campaign of each premier class rider with a video which compiles the most pivotal moments of their year.

A second season with Ducati brought a much-improved feeling with the Desmosedici for Nicky Hayden, something which was evident from the start of the 2010 campaign as the American consistently finished in and around the top four.

Beaten to a podium finish in the opening round at Qatar by the very finest of margins, Hayden showed a resolute consistency as he established himself well on the GP10. Hayden may have had to wait until the Aragón round to get his only podium of the year, but the manner in which he overtook Jorge Lorenzo on the final lap made it worth the wait. By that stage he had already earned a two-year contract extension with Ducati, reward for his progress and persistence in 2010.

In 2011 Hayden will be joined on the Bologna factory line-up by Valentino Rossi, as the ‘Kentucky Kid’ seeks to go one better and improve on his seventh-place finish in the 2010 standings. In the attached motogp.com video you can recap Hayden’s season as the key moments from his campaign are reviewed.
