Márquez leads final warm up

The Championship leader was quickest in the final 20-minute session at Misano ahead of Sunday’s 125cc Gran Premio Aperol di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini.

Marc Márquez got within seven-hundredths of a second of Bradley Smith’s 125cc pole time at Misano in the warm up session on Sunday morning, in final preparation for the race later this afternoon. The Red Bull Ajo Motorsport rider’s 10th and final lap of 1’43.397 placed him 0.091s ahead of title rival Nico Terol.

The Bancaja Aspar rider was second fastest ahead of Sandro Cortese (Avant Mitsubishi Ajo) and Efrén Vázquez (Tuenti Racing), with pole man Smith (Bancaja Aspar) fifth and Pol Espargaró (Tuenti Racing) sixth.

The session was run in cool conditions with the track measuring 22ºC, and the race is due to start at 11am local time.
