Busy set-up schedule ahead for Aoyama

The Grand Prix of Le Mans did not start as expected for Hiroshi Aoyama and the Interwetten Honda MotoGP Team. After the good results at the post race Test at Jerez the expectations for the first free practice at Le Mans were high, and hopes were that the team would continue where it had left off at Jerez.

Unfortunately the settings from Jerez did not appear to suit the French track at Le Mans and the hard work will start again on Saturday. Nevertheless Aoyama is confident that he can improve for tomorrow, even this means a lot of work overnight.

“It is not easy to find the right words. The first impression of the track in Le Mans was good. The weather is good for a change, the conditions are perfect, but I don't have the feeling for the bike unfortunately. I had difficulties going fast. The feeling was so much better in Jerez and I hoped we could continue here what we started there, but it seems that the bike needs a completely different set-up for Le Mans. We have to work on the right settings for tomorrow.
