The Rizla Suzuki rider fractured his collarbone in a motocross fall and has had an operation this morning (Friday), but has been given the go-ahead to ride at Le Mans.
Álvaro Bautista has suffered a fractured clavicle in a motocross training accident, and required an operation on Friday morning.
Due to the nature of the fracture, which was a clean one, the Rizla Suzuki rider has been given the go-ahead by the surgeon who performed the operation to ride at the Monster Energy Grand Prix de France next weekend (May 21st-23rd), and the 25 year-old plans to take part in the third round at Le Mans.
The Rizla Suzuki MotoGP Team will announce details of the injury and operation later today, and motogp.com will provide a further update on Bautista’s condition.
