Aragón proves a great success
A study by the Teruel Chamber of Commerce put a figure on the economic impact on the region of the Gran Premio A-Style de Aragón at €28 million.
A study conducted by the Teruel Chamber of Commerce and Industry to evaluate the economic and social effect of the Gran Premio A-Style de Aragón has found that the 13th round of the 2010 MotoGP World Championship generated a financial impact of €28,427,537.
Figures from the study also showed that 96.9% of Aragón residents polled believe that the MotoGP event was a highly important one for the area, whilst 92.7% were aware of the visit of the World Championship to Alcañiz and 70.7% believe that the organisation of the event was good or very good.
The results of the study were based on an economic impact survey which polled 1,500 people attending the GP, and a social impact survey in which 1,000 residents of the area were questioned over the telephone in the week following the Grand Prix, which took place from September 17th-19th.
