Silverstone receives visit from Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta

The CEO of Dorna Sports paid a visit to the British circuit this week, and you can see how the developments at the venue are taking shape in a motogp.com video.

Silverstone will host the 2010 AirAsia British Grand Prix on the weekend of June 18-20, and Dorna Sports CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta visited the circuit this week to mark the appointment of AirAsia as the title sponsor of this year’s race.

Whilst there Mr Ezpeleta took the opportunity to see how the extensive developments of the circuit are progressing and was shown around by Managing Director of the circuit Richard Phillips.

“The people here at Silverstone are doing an incredible job,” said Mr Ezpeleta. “They started in December and apparently everything will be finished by March 22, it’s amazing. It will be fantastic, not just in terms of safety but also in terms of enjoyment. I think the riders will like this track.”

The premier class of motorcycling returns to Silverstone this year for the first time since 1986, and the vast upgrading of facilities includes a new track layout and improved spectator viewing areas. You can see the progress of the developments in the attached motogp.com video.
