Iannone confirms pace in early Sunday session

Andrea Iannone was once more at the top of the timesheet at Montmeló as he set the fastest lap of the 20-minute warm up on Sunday morning. The Fimmco Speed Up rider, who will start the race from pole position, was the sole rider under 1’48” as he enjoyed the cooler conditions.

Following Iannone on the timesheet were Yuki Takahashi (Tech 3 Moto2) and Shoya Tomizawa (Technomag-CIP), with Simone Corsi (JiR Moto2), Tom Lüthi (Interwetten Moriwaki Moto2) and Julián Simón (Mapfre Aspar) completing the top six positions.

Championship leader Toni Elías (Gresini Racing Moto2) was 19th fastest in the session. The Moto2 race gets underway at 12.15pm local time.
