RTL 7 to show historic TIM TT Assen
The sixth round of the 2010 MotoGP World Championship will be broadcast live on the Dutch channel.
Dorna Sports and RTL 7 have reached an agreement for the TIM TT Assen to be shown live by the Dutch broadcaster this year, thus providing motorcycling fans in Holland with the opportunity to watch the largest one-day sporting event in the Netherlands.
RTL 7 will broadcast the races from all three categories – MotoGP, Moto2 and 125cc – live, and there will be a large home interest in the 125cc category, with regular World Championship riders Jasper Iwema and Michael van der Mark being joined by four wildcard riders; Ernst Dubbink, Roy Pouw, Pepijn Bijsterbosch and Jerry van de Bunt.
Peter Lubbers, programme manager for RTL 7, highlighted the importance of the race being made available to Dutch fans given the prestige of the event. “The TT Assen has an impressive history and fits perfectly into the RTL 7 plan,” he said. “It is also great to see our Dutch riders in action.”
The TIM TT Assen takes place from June 24th-26th, and is the sixth round of the 2010 MotoGP World Championship.
