Road to Rookies Cup applications now open

The selection process for the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup is now open and those riders who have ambitions of future success on the World Championship stage can apply for their chance to take part in the 2011 competition.

Those hoping to emulate the 2009 Red Bull Rookies Cup winner Jakub Kornfeil and runner-up Sturla Fagerhaug – who will both make their debuts in this season’s 125cc World Championship – can start their journey by applying today.

With the competition to get into the Rookies Cup as tough as ever the process has been named Road to Rookies Cup, and the route starts with the online application at www.redbullrookiescup.com.

After submitting details about their motorcycle experience those who are accepted onto the Road will then regularly send in their results throughout the 2010 season, to keep the selection panel updated about their progress.

The top performers will then be invited to the selection event, planned for early October, when the prospective Rookies will find out if their Road has led to a place in the 2011 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.
