The French rider will compete with the Italian Moto2 team in the intermediate class next season, as both undertake their second campaigns in the category.

The Speed Up Moto2 team has confirmed that French youngster Valentin Debise will ride for them in 2011, as both parties tackle the second season of the 600cc four-stroke intermediate class with great optimism.

Eighteen year-old Debise impressed Speed Up Team Manager, Luca Boscoscuro, with his progress during the inaugural season of Moto2 in 2010, during which he assisted the WTR Team with the development of its bike as the sole rider.

The opportunity to continue his advancement with the Speed Up team which enjoyed nine podiums in 2010 – including three victories with Andrea Iannone – is one which has Debise extremely motivated.

“Joining the Speed Up team is a great opportunity to achieve better results,” commented Debise. “It was clear to me in 2010 that I needed to gain more experience and I still have a lot to learn, but for 2011 I know I will develop in the best team and also have the chance to fight for good results and victory.”

Boscoscuro stated: “We are pleased to be giving such a young rider the opportunity to grow and develop within our team and compete in the Moto2 World Championship, and we hope to be able to provide him with the best possible conditions to realise his full potential.”
