Consistent Webb wants to keep it that way
A maturing Danny Webb has enjoyed a solid start to the 2010 campaign, and the 125cc rider of the Andalucia Cajasol team intends to maintain the momentum at his home GP at Silverstone.
Danny Webb will experience a new venue at his home race the AirAsia British Grand Prix this weekend when he races at Silverstone, having experienced Donington for his past three seasons in the World Championship.
The 19 year-old has had a promising start to the 2010 campaign on board his Aprilia of the Andalucia Cajasol team, scoring top-ten finishes in the past two rounds, and home support will be in strong supply for round five this weekend.
“I’m getting more and more confident and I’m staying on the bike,” said Webb of his progress. “The plan is to keep doing what we are doing and finish in the top ten in the Championship but not push too hard and throw the bike down the road. I’m looking for a top ten finish on Sunday but if everything went perfectly that could be a podium if I push really hard.”
He continued: “It’s going to be very special going back to Silverstone with all its history and I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve not been round the new track but my brother rode round it last week and I’ve also spoken to (British superbike rider) Leon Haslam and both told me it was awesome and very quick.”
Webb currently sits 11th in the 125cc World Championship standings on 18 points.
