Forward Racing Team make presentation in Milan

After their appearance at the private test at Montmeló last week, the Forward Racing Team made an official presentation of their Moto2 project in Milan on Friday.

The team is coordinated by Andrea Dosoli, who was Marco Melandri’s Team Manager in MotoGP last season, and will campaign the inaugural Moto2 season with riders Jules Cluzel and Claudio Corti. Both will ride the Suter MMX chassis, which has a large presence in the intermediate class.

Speaking at the Circuit de Catalunya last week, Dosoli said: “The impressions are positive. Jules and Claudio are adapting well to the Suter chassis. No major problems have emerged and both have been confident and fast from the beginning. It is difficult to know what we can expect this year. I think we can consistently be inside the top 10, and why not aim even higher?”

For the official test at Valencia, which starts on Monday, Dosoli added: “At Cheste we’ll try to improve our rear grip, in particular with Cluzel. With Corti, on the contrary, we must concentrate on finding a better feeling with the front.”

“Cluzel must adapt to the 4-stroke after always riding 2-stroke bikes. Corti doesn’t have this problem, for him the main adaptation is with the chassis.”
