Bad weather persists at Jerez

The rain which fell overnight and in the early hours of Monday morning has led to the majority of Moto2 riders remaining in their pit boxes, as they wait for better conditions on the final day of the second official test at Jerez.

Only five from the intermediate class have so far ridden, with Toni Elías, Arne Tode, Simone Corsi, Lukas Pesek and Julián Simón joined by two 125cc riders. Bradley Smith of the Bancaja Aspar team is the only rider to have completed some productive work, making 20 laps and registering a best time of 1’58.455.

At midday the track was in a better condition due to the rain having stopped in the previous hour, but weather forecasts for the afternoon suggest further showers.
